Master's Degree or a certificate in different institutes

People now prefer having certificates from various institutes to a master's degree after their first degree sha. Stuffs like a diploma in public relations from the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations or a diploma in presenting from the Federal Radio Cooperation of Nigeria. So which do you prefer? Having a master's degree or having certificates from various professional institutes
and why do you prefer that?
