Book Smart, Street Smart?

My final exams timetable is out. I'm writing my first paper on Monday. I need the prayers of those that love me. Ndewo o, eku simi o. I hope you all are making good use of the break. It's very necessary.

Good morning my dear blog readers. I hope you all are fine. Anyway, I still can't get over my pictures from Saturday, not my fault, lol.

That aside, do you know that mothers are actually the best? My mum's birthday is coming up next week. The beautiful lady is still in her late forties and I really don't know what to get for her. I wish I was working. This woman has sacrificed so many things for me. I have many things that she doesn't have, she sacrificed so I can be comfortable. My mum does not tolerate failure o. You cannot tell her that you failed for any reason, she'd be mad at you. Ordinary D that I got one time, she wanted to slap me over the phone. She went on and on telling me that failure is unacceptable. How is D in a 3 unit load course failure now? Lol. I don't even know why I'm writing this.

You are welcome to the Tuesday Inspiration segment of our dear blog. Today, we are going to tall about being smart. Book smart, street smart. When you are book smart, you are a smasher. I don't care how you do it, I don't want to know if you cram, pour and forget or whatever. When you are street smart, you know what is going on around you. You know the Hallelujah challenge, you should know that rumour has it that Funke Akindele and her husband might be pregnant, you should know that pur darling president is not in the country, you should know Fayose and more. The concept of street smartness doesn't mean the one Olamide or Lil Kesh sings about 'see I came from the ghetto, I came from the street'. Mba, dianyi, you did not come from any ghetto. Street smartness means knowing how things work outside your books. It means knowing what is going on around you, it means knowing who Yemi Alade is, who Linda Ikeji is, who Kokun is, what LinkedIn is, what Instagram is and so on.

If you are just book smart, it is really nice, but try to know things that are going on around you. It's important to engage in a meaningful conversation with someone all the time. If you are street smart, the kind of smartness I explained, try to be book smart too. It will make sense if we can talk about our disciplines and talk about the issues going going on around us. I mean, what is more sexy than that?

The comment section belongs to you all. Have a mind-blowing Tuesday.

My novel is still available on www.okadabooks.com. Please, get a copy, it's not expensive.

Girllll, I don't feel so good right now. Rashes are my bane; after cockroaches, they can undo me without stressing. As for being street smart, I love street smart. I could eat you for lunch if you're street smart. Book smart is fine, but street smart owns my heart.

Success in your exams by the way.

My love, I've called and called. How's your health? Will make out time to see you before the end of the week.

I love street smartness. I love to talk about everything. Once you are street smart, once are very current, I will fall in love with you.
