'Guys should not be taught how to cook, it's unmanly'

Yeah, you read the post title right. It is unmanly, but it is not unmanly to eat the food, abi?

I'm actually pissed this evening. Why do people find it so easy to guilt-trip others? Let me not even start ranting here because I won't get tired anytime soon. Hey guys, good evening. How are you all doing? The Lagos flood is really a problem o. What exactly can be done to curtail it? It happens every year, every freaking rainy season. We've had a drama filled week. From Wizkid, Davido and Tekno's brouhaha to Evans and his escape to our president that is apparently still chilling in London to the flood. What a wow!

You are welcome to the Guys' Room segment. In this room, we talk about issues that concern the awon guys and everybody. Today, we are going to talk about one of my major women. She's Omoni Oboli. Omoni is an ambassador for Nunu Milk. This week, her son tried to make puff-puff and it turned out great. She celebrated him on Instagram and a big Chief is really not cool with the way Omoni is bringing up her sons.

That's why we will never move forward in this country. What the hell is wrong with a mother teaching her sons how to cook? That's why some guys can't even take care of themselves to say nothing of their rooms. Someone will not sweep his room in a year. You'd live in filth happily. For your mind, you can't wait to get married so your wife will do everything for you and even wipe your ass because you cannot buy 100 naira broom and take care of the house. As for the self-acclaimed Chief, I don't blame you, I blame your mentality. I'm really sorry that in 2017, you are still thinking like they need to get water from Badagry beach to wash your brain. Who told you that the fact that a man knows how to cook makes him unmanly? It's not your fault anyway. I'm weak on your behalf. Baby Anderson, I don't care if it is unmanly, you must learn how to do things in the house. It's very important. I'm going to teach you and you are going to learn and know that it is not unmanly to do house chores. If it is, it should be unmanly to eat!

Someone will still come to my inbox now to insult me for this post, I didn't say I won't cook in my husband's house o. Future hubby should get ready to eat plenty beans and potatoes,  πŸ˜‚. If you as much as send me any insulting message, I will come for you.

Dear blog readers, what do you have to say with regards to this issue? The comment section belongs to you all. Have a fabulous new week in advance.

I was so freaking annoyed when I read that thing.. Jesus Christ!! Like what in the world is wrong with some people?? This is why we are still backward.. What is the meaning of linking masculinity with knowing how to nurture and take care of one's stomach and body?? That chief is the chief of stupid misogynists and Patriarchal men. Smh.. Africa this, Africa that!! Ah!! Our cultures are so perfect and beautiful and yet we are still backward and looking up to the "Corrupt" West to help us every time. Nonsense and Buhari😑😑😑

I was more pissed when I read that post. I blame his upbringing. There is nothing wrong with a guy knowing how to cook and how to take care of his environment. Some people just don't get it and if you talk, they'd scream feminist. People that know nothing about feminism. I give up already.

Cooking has nothing to do with gender/sex. Everybody should be taught how to cook. I thank God for my mum, who taught me how to cook even better than many women. Friends, I enjoy cook!
